Corner 23

We were craving some Taiwanese food so we debated between Beefy Beef Noodle or Corner 23. Both feel kinda the same to me and I haven’t been to both in a long time so in the end we went to Corner 23. They also recently opened a new location called Uncle Lu in Continental Square in Richmond.

Passionfruit green tea with pearls. Refreshing and not too sweet. Pearls were nice and chewy.

Corner 23This was the Kimchi Hotpot served with a side of rice. There was some fish balls, kimchi and lots of vermicelli in it.

This was the Milky Seafood Hotpot and there was a lot of vegetables as filler and not very much seafood.

I had the Pork with Red Fermented Sauce rice set. The side dishes for the day were seaweek, cabbage and bok choy. The pork was really good! It had a crispy batter and the meat had the right amount of fat. Unfortunately I thought the portion was on the small side though. Even for me and it’s not like I eat a LOT. I feel like other Taiwanese restaurants would have a bigger portion for this. Side dishes were nothing special.

So the meal was ok but it feels like they used to be better? Strangely enough I’ve never actually blogged about them before…
