I’ve seen some really great Instagram posts about Sushiholic so I convinced my friends to check it out after biking around the seawall. I believe their original location is on East Broadway near Boundary Road. I visited their Denman location and it has a bit of a cozy feel with their brick walls and dim lighting.
I tried Plum Wine for the first time! I liked it since it was really sweet.
This Unagi Don was bomb! It was loaded with unagi and the presentation was very nice as well. I love unagi so this was a hit for me.
We all decided we must try the Sushiholic roll which comes with five pieces and contains, shrimp tempura and smoked salmon on top.
Next we had the Awesome roll which looks very impressive with the fried crispy yam “fries” on top. The inside was really just a California roll with some baked salmon.
Finally we had the Volcano roll and this was the most expensive roll ($15) on the menu but it was huge! The middle is full of chopped spicy tuna. Each piece was crunchy since it was deep fried and the sauce was tasty. The presentation was appealing too.
If you like speciality rolls, this is a good place to check out after doing some shopping downtown. The restaurant is also more spacious than it first appears since they have two rooms that are joined together. I must say that the bathroom is VERY tiny.
