Millie Creperie-Toronto

On my trip to Toronto last November, I was exploring the Kensington area which is a really eclectic looking neighbourhood beside Chinatown. Just think lots of vintage shops and brightly coloured murals everywhere.

This is also where I found Millie Creperie! I had read about it briefly but didn’t make plans to visit but my friend and I happened to pass by so I couldn’t resist going in.

Millie CreperieThey serve a variety of sweet and savoury crepes and parfaits. We had already had a huge brunch so we just wanted a light snack.

The Green Tea Crepe Cake was around $7.00 which was pricier than I expected for a small piece of cake. Also, I think I have this preconception that Asian cakes are cheaper? But perhaps they can charge a premium since it’s not a common type of cake. I ended up liking it more than I thought though. The green tea cream in between each layer was very smooth while the texture of the crepes were soft and slightly chewy. I’m glad I stopped by for this enjoyably light dessert.
