I like to walk around a lot on my lunch breaks and this time I found myself wandering into H-Mart because I remembered they had a food court up there. I’ve only been there once and it was quite a while ago. It was busy during lunch hours and there were almost no seats. The first stall was Sushi & Roll, which offered pre-made sushi as well as kimbap (the Korean version of sushi).
I was interested in trying kimbap again because I think I’ve only had it once or twice before and it was $3.99 for 10 pieces! That’s a good deal! I managed to grab a freshly made pack (it comes saran wrapped) and it was still slightly warm.
The filling had a mixture of veggies like carrot, pickled daikon, cucumber, egg and some beef. I thought it might taste a bit bland but surprisingly the beef was well seasoned and the veggies gave it lots of crunch. It wasn’t anything that would blow you out of the water but it was a quick cheap lunch. The kimbap is pre-made already and you can just grab a pack and go.
I would go back to H-Mart and try the other food court stalls sometime. The Zac.Zac Japanese Curry House looked good!
