I passed by Emperor’s Puffs in Chinatown a few times and there was always a line up no matter what time of day! They were also really cheap so it didn’t hurt to try!

You can see the Emperor’s Puffs on the left
Sydney’s Chinatown is quite nice looking and there are actually LOTS of restaurants there!!! Our Chinatown doesn’t really have much food…it’s mostly a few grocery stores and herbal medicine shops. In their Chinatown, they have some small shopping arcades and a few food courts. Their grocery shopping area is indoors in an enormous building called Market City which is also home to the Paddy’s Markets where you can buy lots of cheap Asian goods like cell phone cases, knock-off purses and souvenirs. Also, I must mention that they have a lot of bubble tea shops too!
We got a box of 20 to share for $5. These are made hot and fresh to order! They basically keep their machine running for the whole day. You have to buy 15 or 20 in order to get the plastic box.
Emperor’s puffs are basically cream puffs and the inside is filled with some custard and the outside is soft in texture with an eggy taste. It was almost like a pancake in a way. They’re not really sweet and they make for a delicious shopping treat!
Looks yummy! My friend told me Melbourne is exactly like Vancouver with lots of Asian food, which is perfect for me =D
haha yeah Sydney was so Asian too! So much Thai and Viet food and good food in general! :D
