Kurtosh is a bakery that specializes in chimney cakes with various locations in Sydney. My boyfriend was recommended this bakery by his friend so he stopped by to pick up some treats for me at their Crows Nest location. Yay! As you can tell from the photo below, he didn’t get a chimney cake so maybe I can try that another time.
I like the minimalistic box which is just the right size for the 2 slices of cake we had. At Kurtosh, the cake slabs are sold by weight.
On the left we have the Baked Raspberry Cheesecake. The cheesecake was super creamy and lighter than a New York cheesecake. I also like the crumbly shortbread-like base and the bursts of tartness from the raspberries.
On the right we have the Cookies and Cream Cheesecake. This was topped with cookie pieces and it had a similar cookie base as well. There are also cookie pieces baked into the cheesecake and there is no doubt that this is cookies and cream flavoured. I preferred the raspberry cheesecake more though as I thought the cookies and cream one had a slightly weird texture and the flavour didn’t taste quite right for me. Just a personal preference though!
