As a huge matcha fan, I put Chanoma Cafe on my list of Sydney eats. Located inside Regent Arcade, this place has an extensive dessert menu with all the matcha treats that you can think of from matcha parfaits to soft serves and floats, there’s sure to be something to satisfy your matcha desires.
Despite all the enticing treats, I was drawn to the large sign advertising Matcha and Azuki(red bean) Soft Serve. Once upon a time, I hated red bean! Hard to believe how my tastes have changed. This soft serve was soft indeed but did not melt too fast and wasn’t too sweet either. The portion was generous and satisfied my sweet tooth. Yum! Continue reading →
I recently started a new job and I had the chance to go on a business trip to Toronto. Of course I had to use this opportunity to try as much food as possible. Momofuku is a chain restaurant from New York and their only location in Canada is in Toronto. Momofuku is located inside the Shangri-La Hotel and they take up 3 floors. The noodle bar is located on the first floor.
The seating area consists of some communal tables and it’s very spacious looking compared to places I’ve been to in Vancouver! But then again this is a famous restaurant chain and they’re inside a hotel. Continue reading →
UYU Ice Cream opened over the summer and they’ve been getting rave reviews! I’ve seen them all over my Instagram feed with their weekly rotation of flavours. I actually went after I ate lunch at Tacofino (despite being super full already). I couldn’t help it since it was like two blocks away! #foodieproblems
The store is pretty minimalistic looking and according to what I’ve read, they didn’t have any seating at all before but when I was there, they seem to have added two small benches along the walls now.
I’ve seen a lot of flavours that I would like to try and on the day I went they had Earl Grey! Yay! It’s probably one of my favourite flavours of anything!
Disclaimer: All food was complimentary but opinions are my own
720 Sweets sent me an invite to try some of their soft serve last month and even before I went, my Instagram was flooded with pictures of their fancy looking soft serve surrounded by dry ice. I love ice cream so I was super excited for this!
The store is located on Broadway and Blenheim and the interior is narrow but has about 10 seats at the front.
Guess who finally made it to Soft Peaks? ME!!! I swear everybody has blogged about it already so here are my thoughts.
Soft Peaks is located in Gastown and also conveniently near the new Bao Down that I have yet to check out! Soft Peaks makes their soft serve with Avalon organic milk which is why their price is higher. Organic anything is expensive!
